July 15th 2013 Study Watchtower, p. 23, par. 13: “Who, then, are the domestics? Put simply, they are those who are fed. Early in the last days, the domestics were all anointed ones. Later, the domestics came to include the great crowd of other sheep.” [...] Both groups benefit from the same timely spiritual food that is dispensed by the faithful slave. What about the Governing Body members who today make up the faithful and discreet slave? Those brothers also need to be fed spiritually. Hence, they humbly recognize that as individuals they are domestics just like all the rest of Jesus' genuine followers."

Could you really trust the Governing Body to the right thing?
by no-zombie inover the years, many have speculated on how the governing body might reform the society into something that might actually bring some positivity in to the world ... and a resent melancholy moment, i re-watched the youtube clip of usa for africa's, 'we are the world' which was released in 1985. now while i know our men in warwick would never actually consider organizing the brotherhood to do something completely selfless in helping the truly worldly poor, something that would actually improve the religion's reputation ... but the question is ... could you really trust the governing body to run an aid program like usa for africa or band aid, without skimming from the top?.

As any form of 'love' they've ever known of, charity too is considered conditional.

Forgiveness
by Freedom rocks inif someone does the same things over and over again and says sorry and then does it again and you point out that their apologies don't mean anything anymore, then they accuse you of not being forgiving enough, who is in the wrong?
(i mean as in constantly over a long period of time).
im trying to work out whether it was just part of the persons mental/ emotional manipulation tactics or whether i have the wrong view and i'm not forgiving enough.

Narcissistic bullies thrive in the WTS. And I know what I'm talking about: I've got a father, who's a zealous Jdub elder ...
Good for you that you escaped/survived both of these abusive relationships.

Why are JDubs scared to death of apostate websites?
by Sour Grapes inwhen i was an elder back in the 1970's i loved to debate and challenge ministers, preachers, and holy rollers.
now you can be a loyal jdub fully indoctrinated for 30 years but just take a peek at an apostate website and you are doomed.
yes, satan now has you by the gonads and all of the years of being at the meetings, all of the family worship nights, all of the conventions, and all of the personal study just go up in a cloud of smoke.

The Fearful 8, 'they, who shall not be blamed', know exactly that their make-shift doctrines forged in the dungeons of Warwick Castle are worth shit. (BTW, how much time did the new generation teaching actually buy them? ). But apostate websites are dedicated to point out the flaws in their doctrines, the potholes in their path to paradise, in short, the truth about The Truth. And, as JW like the biblical concept of seeds, it seems safe to join in the metaphor, saying, the web is, as it were, crawling with aposta-sperm. The GB, therefore, have every reason to be scared.
"Be Courageous!, Don't Give Up!, and Remain Loyal!, else ..." So, essentially their mantra is: Keep the flock on track, and keep them busy! Yep, thinking for yourself is praying to the devil (As a child I liked the red roaring lion picture in one of the org's publications: "Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring Lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." — 1 Peter 5:8 KJV 1611).
It has been extensively shown elsewhere that what JWs are dreading the most are sex and Satan. And the rank and file fear the GB - CO - SV (shepherding visits) - JC - DF- cascade, as this involves being shunned by those dearest to them (and, of course, being exposed to demonic influence without Jehova's protection). There is literally fear on either side, but what do I know, JWs are the happiest people on the earth.

LevelThePlayingField – I remember on[e] brother telling me one time that we should avoid anything or anyone even close to apostasy because he heard of an apostate who came to the meeting one time and whispered in someone's ear something and then that person never came back to the meetings again, ever.
What?!
I want to know that apostate spell! -

Cart Witnessing™
Last weekend I was in Nijmwegen, Netherlands, a wonderful medieval small town near the German border. They had a summer festival and JWs were crawling the place. In one street I counted 6 (SIX!) carts mostly with dutch literature, but there was one cart with german and english literature.Door 2 Door
I have been living here in this street (in Düsseldorf, Germany) for more than twenty years now, and I've never been bothered by the Borg. But that's due to my being df'd for more than 40 years, and them knowing my address.
